Dr. Phil Interviews George and Cindy (part one)

Dr. Phil Interviews the Anthonys (part one)

After watching part one of Dr. Phil’s interview with George and Cindy Anthony there was only one great revelation that was not heard at the trial. This was Cindy’s theory that her daughter Casey suffers from some kind of organic brain disease. During the interview Cindy talked about post partum schizophrenia, a brain tumor and grand mal seizures. Cindy shared that Casey did have medical follow-up after her grand mal seizures and that the doctors did not find any reason for these occurrences. It appears that Cindy is trying to take some kind of comfort in thinking that all or part of her daughter’s behavior was not under Casey’s control. Cindy and George also mentioned that they noted a drastic change for the worse in Casey shortly after Caylee was born.
This was the first time that I was aware that George and Cindy were separated around the time of Casey’s pregnancy. It was also disclosed that George had a serious issue with gambling and was not truthful with Cindy about it. It appears that a lot of Casey’s lying may have been learned from her father. So what is one to make out of today’s disclosures? It raises more questions than answers. What was the truth about Casey’s seizures and did they play any roll in what happened in the tragic death of Caylee? Is George Anthony still holding back some of the truth? How soon was it that George was convinced that Caylee was indeed dead? Did he know for sure at this time? And one of the major questions was still not answered. Why did it take thirty-one days for George and Cindy to contact the police? Hopefully, there will be some more answers in tomorrow’s episode.

Dr. Phil and the Anthonys

Dr. Phil and the Anthonys

Dr. Phil McGraw has the big interview with George and Cindy Anthony Scheduled to be aired on September 12. It is almost guaranteed that this episode of The Dr. Phil story will attain record ratings. There is a teaser out there that George and Cindy Anthony will reveal some things not heard at the trial. There is also a suggestion that what they have to say may help solve the mystery of what exactly happened to Caylee Anthony. This is some of the hype already surrounding this interview.
The subject of monetary compensation for the Anthonys has also been discussed. The impression given so far is that George and Cindy will turn any money made from their appearance on Dr. Phil over to a charity having Caylee’s name. I don’t see any reason why George and Cindy shouldn’t keep some of the proceeds for themselves. I don’t know what their financial situation is but I can’t imagine it being very good considering all that has happened to them in the last three years. What the heck? Prosecutor Jeff Ashton already has his book ready to go.

Judge Perry Has Made His Decision

Casey Back in Florida?

Judge Perry has ordered that Casey Anthony is to return to Florida and serve her probation. He was in a tough position on this one. The easiest decision would be to not have Casey serve her probation. I am sure that bringing Casey back to Orlando Florida will place her in danger. It will also further disrupt the city of Orlando. However, Judge Perry did not want to give the impression that Casey was getting a free pass. Too many people already believe that Casey got away with murder. He was probably trying to protect the integrity of the judicial system.
The other decision the Judge Perry will have to make is whether or not to release the names of the jurors in the Casey Anthony trial. This could turn out to be an even more critical decision. Some jurors have already reported being threatened. Is it really fair to subject these jurors to possible harm? I think not. Who is going to want to serve on a jury like this again? The sad truth is that this jury may have the rest of their lives affected negatively. All this was because they wanted to do their civic duty.
It was reported today that one of the jurors in the Casey Anthony trial has now reconsidered his decision. He feels that the jury should have come up with a verdict of manslaughter. This juror also reported that the jury did not like Casey Anthony but they thought they had to follow the law as they perceived it. One has to remember that the jury did not have all the information available to them that the general public had. The jury was sequestered for the duration of the trial. My opinion is that Judge Perry should not reveal the identities of the individual jurors in this case.

Guilt and Casey Anthony

Guilt and Casey Anthony

There are many things that I do not understand about Casey Anthony. One would think that the guilt should be eating away at her. Even if Caylee's death was an accident, you would think that Casey would still feel a lot of guilt and would be going over and over in her head what she could have done to prevent the accident. One might argue that over three years has passed and she may have gotten over it. Still I find this unlikely. If Casey did really murder Caylee, the guilt would be increased numerous times. How can Casey sleep at night? Even if Casey does have a fitful sleep, one would expect terrifying nightmares. Yet there have not been any reports of Casey experiencing trauma.

Casey Anthony and Warren Jeffs

Casey Anthony and Warren Jeffs

Don’t get me wrong. If Casey Anthony did indeed murder her daughter, her crime is horrific. What befuddles me is the almost universal condemnation of Casey Anthony (who was found not guilty) and the relative quiet concerning the crimes of Warren Jeffs (who was found guilty by a court of law). What gives? Warren Jeffs abused who knows how many children for how many years and yet I am not sensing the same degree of outrage as is presently directed toward Casey Anthony.
I have observed another phenomenon in the case of Casey Anthony. The majority of people who believe that Casey may not be guilty (and it is a slim percentage) are male. The majority of people who think that Casey Anthony is without a doubt guilty of murder appear to be female. Is there something subconscious going on? I’m not Sigmund Freud but does this having anything to do with the fact that Casey Anthony is a physically attractive woman? What do you think?

Judge Perry Made the Wrong Decision

Judge Perry Made the Wrong Decision

I believe that Judge Perry made the wrong decision in ordering Casey Anthony back to Orlando for the following reasons:
1) I believe the decision was politically motivated.
2) The city of Orlando needs time to heal from this tragedy and this is just reopening the wound.
3) There is a very real possibility of violence when Casey returns.
4) This could cost the city of Orlando a ton of money especially if rioting occurs and extra security is necessary.
5) Casey will likely only be able to work at a job if her defense lawyers give her a job. The question is will Casey be able to get to and from work safely?
6) George and Cindy Anthony’s home is certain to be surrounded by unwanted visitors waiting to see if Casey will show up at their home. This family has suffered enough.
7) If someone manages to harm Casey there will be another costly trial to deal with.
8) How will the authorities possibly be able to keep Casey’s address secret if she stays in Orlando?

Casey Anthony Must Serve Her Probation

Casey Has To Serve Her Probation

I honestly don’t see what good it’s going to do to force Casey Anthony to complete her probation. I fear that politics and the pressure of public opinion have influenced Judge Perry’s decision. Judge Perry could have saved face by just stating that an administrative screw up was made and that there was nothing that he could do to change that.
The majority of people want to see Casey Anthony punished in some way. Casey and her defense team beat the prosecution in the court trial and people are very upset about it. Their fall back poition is to see if they can get retribution some other way. Some people are hoping that Casey will quickly violate her probation order and be put back in jail.
Ironically, this might be a good thing for Casey considering how many people would like to see her harmed. Right now jail might be the safest place for Casey Anthony.
